All Things Sisterlocks®️
How can you get sisterlocks®️?
Sisterlocks®️ are offered in a package of 3 visits:
First Visit: The Consultation
During this session we will discuss your personal hair history, your styling preferences and your lifestyle in order to determine if Sisterlocks is right for you. Your hair should be cleaned and free of any grease, gels, conditioner, etc...
Test locs will be established and should remain in your hair for 2 weeks.
Second Visit: The Locking Session
Your second visit is your locking session. For the establishment of your locks, based on the length and density of your hair, we would have blocked out 1- 2 day segments from 10-13 hours. We start as early as 5am.
We will take a couple breaks worked into our time frame so I would ask that you bring your food, a good book, and or Netflix/Hulu/Disney+ show of your choice (my treat) while you get your hair locked. Once your installation is complete, you will be given a complementary Sisterlocks Kit complete with starter shampoo, hair bands and Sisterlocks instructions. Once your installation is complete, we schedule your 3 week follow-up visit.
Third Visit: Follow up
Your 3 week follow-up visit is a way to monitor the progress of your locks. During your follow-up visit you will receive a complementary mini-retightening and be placed on a retightening schedule. Please set aside 3 - 4 hours for your 3 week follow-up.
Before The Magic:
These instructions are very important leading up to your upcoming locking session.
**All consultations must be paid via CashApp ($DejaMZakaria) or Zelle in order to book**
If you have not received an email reminder, you may text or call within 48 hours of your appointment to confirm.
1) Come to your appointment with your hair clean.
2) Please do not blow dry, straighten, braid, nor plait your hair in any way.
3) Do not add any water, conditioners, oils or moisturizers.
Establishment Day:
Please do not plan any other activities the day of your establishment.
Your time has been reserved to ensure that I will complete your service during that time frame.
Tardiness, leaving early, cancellations, and rescheduling can and may result in no refund or refusal to service. Please know that I will always work to respect your time and hope for the same.
Magic Maintenance:
1) It is important to maintain regular maintenance.
2) For health safety, please come to your re-tightening appointments with your hair clean. Please shampoo no later than 2 days before your appointment. If your hair is not cleaned, you will be re-scheduled where additional fees will apply.
3) IF YOU ARE SICK, AT ANY STAGE, PLEASE RE-SCHEDULE . IF YOU EXHIBIT SIGNS OF ILLNESS YOU WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED where additional fees will apply
4) Your next appointment should always be scheduled before you leave to ensure availability.
5) Your re-tightening appointment is an excellent time to purchase your Sisterlocks products.
After your locking session:
1) Follow the shampooing instructions in your Starter Kit. Most importantly, be sure to BUNDLE: Braid sections of your hair together, tuck the ends, and secure with a rubber bands PRIOR to shampooing. Rinse is very important.
2) SEPARATE your locks from the root after you shampoo. This is important to keep locks form joining together. Dry hair thoroughly before going to bed: this prevents mildew and odor from forming in your locks from being saturated for an extended length of time.
3) AVOID OIL-BASED PRODUCTS. For at least the first 6 months after getting your locks, you are in a “settling in” phase. Softening agents found in moisturizes and conditioners can cause your hair to resist the locking process and cause build-up especially if they are not water-soluble.
